GN Gastro containers are an essential attribute of a professional kitchen. They are intended for food storage, transportation, display in the window of a store or cafe, sometimes they are used to prepare dishes such as sauces.

Standard GN-Gastronorm EN-631-1 - Common European standard for gastronomic containers.

Containers manufactured according to this standard are suitable for any technological or commercial installation.

The designation GN, which refers to container sizes and is indicated in the size table, means "Gastro-Norm size", the size of each individual container. The global designation of the main gastronorm container GN-1/1, which has standard dimensions: length - 530 mm, width - 325 mm. All other dimensions in this clasification are calculated based on this dimension.

Let's look at an example:

1. Container GN-1/1 (size 530x325 mm), based on all calculations, the first number indicates the length of the tray - 530mm, the second number indicates the width of the tray - 325mm.

2. The width of GN-1/2 remains unchanged, we divide the length in half, 530/2 = 265mm, as a result we easily get the size of the second container - 265x325mm.

In this classification, the third number can be specified (after the first two, the last), it indicates the depth, for example, GN 1/2-150, length - 325mm, width - 265mm, depth - 150mm.

This size chart clearly shows the size and relationship between the lengths of the different sides of the container.
